HOW IT WORKS

On this page, you will find a description of the guidelines you must adhere to when you commission me, including how the transaction works at each stage of the creative process.

UNDER $150USD:

1: Fill out the order form so I know what you want/how much to quote you. Send the completed form to my email address with the title of what you're after: i.e. subject: "Full Colour Waist-Up Single Character"

2: I will then reply with a 'quote' based on all the information you have sent me. The quote will be roughly around the prices listed on the PRICES tab, but will include any extras you've asked for.

3: Once I have locked in your commission, you can choose to withdraw your request if I haven't started the work yet. If I have started working on your request, you have to pay the amount applicable to the work that I have done, and you can refrain from getting the image finished as originally wanted.

4: You will get a downsized, watermarked version of the image at each stage (sketch, colour) as proof that it is done up to that point. Please send the designated amount (usually the same price of the sketch, with the remaining payment taking it up to colour if you order colour) by replying to the invoice that I will send (from paypal Krice_Verta@protonmail.com) to your PayPal address.

NOTE: Orders under $40USD are to be paid upfront when I'm ready to begin your commission. I'll send an invoice for this.

5: Once I've received cleared payment, I'll send you the full-sized sketch without a watermark so you can have the art you've paid for up to then, and so you can check if anything needs to be changed/edited. I can do several small edits (within reason) in this stage at no extra cost, but things like changing hairstyle, expression, body positioning may cost more depending on how big the changes are.

6: Once you're happy with the sketch, I'll finish the image. Upon completion of the image, I'll send you a downsized, watermarked version as proof of completion along with the final invoice (from paypal Krice_Verta@protonmail.com), at which point you'll pay the invoice required to secure the completed work.

7: If you need more changes to the picture after it is completed, that may incur an extra fee (changing eye colour is pretty straight-forward so might be free). It is much harder to edit completed images than it is to edit sketches. Don't hesitate to ask.

$150USD AND OVER:

- Same method as above applies, but a third 'down payment' will be added, to be sent before work is started.

8: DO NOT take back your commission once you've paid for it (as this usually means that I've started work already). Commissions are nonrefundable.

9: Do not remove my signature. It will be transparent and small, but visible. If you want to post the art to your character’s gallery, please use the fully watermarked version that I use when posting my work (you will get an unwatermarked version for personal, non-post use).

10: All the commissions that I draw will go into my gallery on most if not all of the art sites I am a member of. If you want me to delay posting it because it is a surprise/gift for someone, please let me know - but I will be posting all my work. Please consider this before you commission me.

11: I reserve the right to decline drawing a commission, though I highly doubt I'll end up declining any. I will NOT decline art once you have paid.

12: I reserve the right to change my prices as listed; prices will not be changed for commissions already confirmed. Those will be charged the same amount quoted when the commission was locked in.

Do NOT upload the commissions you order from me (or any of my art) to any AI-generating programs (like midjourney, etc) or other web-based imaging software. If you need something edited, ask me directly. Also, please refrain from using AI-generated pictures as references in the order form. We can do a few free edits in the sketch stage with some back-and-forth communication to get it right. :) I used to only visualize commissions from written descriptions - no reference pictures at all!

Please do NOT send e-cheques, or any other form of payment that requires days to clear. The payment you send needs to be instant, so that I can start working on the next stage of the artwork. If the payment is not instant, this will delay the creative process considerably.

If I've shown you a watermarked version of the finished product, or of the sketch stage, and therefore if you have proof that I've drawn for you, you have a maximum two weeks to send the sketch payment or final payment. This should give everyone enough time to get to their next paycheck. If you do not pay whatever payment you're late for in that time, you may incur a late fee. Art is a luxury; please do not order unless you can set aside the required funds.

All the images that I work on for you will be for non-profit, personal use only. Do not repost my art. Retweet, Reblog, etc from my posts of the art are fine, as these still lead back to me (the original artist).

-- b: You may use the image on your Youtube, Twitter, Twitch, etc, channel as a profile/avatar picture as long as my Kaiverta Commissions signature remains visible, and you credit me.

You are not allowed to sell these personal art images in any way, nor to credit yourself as the creator.

Likewise, I do not sell my art to be minted in any way. NFTs, etc are not allowed.

If you'd like to commission me for some COMMERCIAL WORK (for a game, short story, merchandising, etc), The markup will be minimum 150% from the base price (If the base commission is $100USD, the commercial fee will add, minimum, $150USD, for a total of $250USD.)  The full rights fee will add 300%, so if a commission is $100USD, the minimum full-rights will add is $300USD, so the total will be $400USD.)
